I have been informed by [livejournal.com profile] pixlet, that MC Frontalot will be performing live at the Zen Lounge in Mountain View, tonight, I think? (Nov 19, 2008 at 7:00PM) And then also in Oakland, CA.

Also: Frontalot Primes: A New Class Of Prime Numbers

(I don't have time to make a fancy table of all this)

EsoZone this weekend in Portland.

I'm going to try to make it to the Sisters of Mercy concert in SF on Nov 26
http://www.livedaily.com/news/14881.html

I have no idea about this:
http://events.sfgate.com/san-francisco-ca/events/show/84056094-vampire-lesbians-of-sodom-and-sleeping-beauty-or-coma

And there's no parties from any of these people, but I'm just putting these here for reference:

http://www.raindancepresents.com/

And also, http://upcoming.yahoo.com/user/14674/

And this has nothing to do with anything else at the moment, but it's also for my own reference:

So, right now I'm missing The Last Hope although there's still enough time for me to jump on a plane and make it. PET is coming up in a few days, and I want to spend time with [livejournal.com profile] enochsmiles, but I could buy a MacBook or Nikon D300 for what plane tickets are now. And time-wise, I'm trying to keep my head above water at work. And I also noticed that if I can stop spending money for three months, I'll have enough saved up for surgery (yes, that operation).

In the meantime, I'm going up to [livejournal.com profile] veedub's tonight, and then to the Infected Mushroom concert at 1015 Folsom [in San Francisco].

Assuming that I don't fly out to Belgium at the last minute, I'm thinking of driving up to this: http://www.thegreenwolf.com/kingather08.html next weekend, for reasons I'll explain later.

Stuff from May 2008 When I do batch postings like this, I should really try to get the parts to come out in order. If you haven't noticed, I usually try to post my favorites first, and also try to keep the number of photos in a single post to under a hundred. photo, May 2008, Shpongle, Younger Brother, concert, Dresden Dolls, Vermillion Lies, cats, sky, clouds, people, wedding, party, San Francisco, CA, USA Julia Wolf Julia Wolf image/jpeg 2008 Read more... )

Stuff from May 2008 Technical note: I'm experimenting with using Imagemagick to generate these small (250x376) photos from the larger JPGs. This is because Adobe Lightroom is really, really, really slow when exporting to JPG from raw. It looks like all of the EXIF and IPTC metadata is intact — which is good — but there's a subtible colour shift between the large and small files, and so I think that the ICC profile is getting stripped. (Of course most people won't notice any of this, but I'm an obsessive perfectionist. Also I'm still doing all of my stuff a the "Mac" gamma of 1.8, not the "PC" gamma of 2.2, so everything is probable too dark for most of you.) photo, May 2008, Shpongle, Younger Brother, concert, Dresden Dolls, Vermillion Lies, cats, sky, clouds, people, wedding, party, San Francisco, CA, USA Julia Wolf Julia Wolf image/jpeg 2008 Read more... )

The Jonathan Coulton Experience Through a long complicated series of events going back billions of years, I suddenly found myself at the recent Jonathan Coulton concert being filmed at the Great American Music Hall, for a concert DVD. If you buy the DVD and watch it very closely, you'll probably see a blueish-purple blur of pixels in the back of the room — That's me! I'm famous now.
