I used to be on A/V staff for Furcon; I've never missed a year; I live a few miles from the Doubletree. As far as I know I'm not staff again this year, so I should have some time to, you know like, actually attend the con. I still have to see about getting a party room this year; The last few years I've thrown the loud, trance music, blinking-light, with all of the left over booze from all the other parties, party on Sunday night.

So...I assume you can't go to both Orycon and MFF at the same weekend, right? Know which one you'll be at? I'll be at Orycon, since it's local. :-}


Also: oooh, Ott live. He totally melted my brain (without drugs!) earlier this year--I had the incredibly unlikely luck to see him playing up here, in Portland, Oregon. That almost never happens, at least not up here! Big names are either in Seattle or San Francisco. He was playing at some kind of environmental convention type thing, I just went to see him play. Awesome stuff.
