So, I have a few moments of spare time to read my friends list. And like almost every single post is a LJ-cut saying: "You are about to view content that may not be appropriate for minors." (Which, if you actually read the post; It is appropriate for minors. THE LJ-CUT IS A LIE!) But anyway, this makes having a 'friends page' — a single page where you can read everyone's stuff at once — completely useless. I can't just skip down the page, but have to click and open a hundred tabs, and there's no way I can feasibly do this on my cell phone. If I only have 15 minutes a day to read LJ, most of that time is now sunk into loading individual pages. I can't just click on one link, and then read the results, and then get back to my life.
I generally don't even have time to reply to comments in my own journal, let alone read other people's journals, and it's now ten times harder.
Skimming over my friends page, these are some of the journals with the filthy-lying-lj-cuts on every post — even the private locked ones:
UPDATE: I think that Livejournal has now reached the pinnacle of emo, in that it's now automatically cutting itself.

I actually have not run across the "not safe for anyone" links that foxgrrl is talking about, as long as I'm signed in, but that may change as LJ sees fit.
