Current Status: Alive

For the last two weeks, I have been riding a wave. And it doesn't look like it's going to crash any time soon. I think that this summarizes how I've been feeling lately.
(In other words, It might be a while before I have time to post more to LJ.)

I'm going to be in the DC area on Thursday. San Francisco for the rest of this week. I've been invited to several parties today [Mar 17], but I'm not sure which ones I'll have time to make. And ZOMG! Lisa Gerrard is going to be at the Palace of Fine Arts on Sat. May 26! Screw Baycon, I've got to go to this!

*sigh* They destroyed the Stardust? Well, I guess that's all of them now, except maybe Caesar's Palace, if you want to count it as one of the original resorts.

Yeah, I need to write up my full experience, and post the rest of the photos and stuff. Very dusty, for the next day afterwards, my mouth tasted like I had been licking carpet in a sleezy Vegas hotel.

The Caesar's Palace in Vegas right now is a physically different building, at a physically different location from the original. I think chairoraccoon was telling me that the New Frontier hotel/casino is the last of the old Vegas stip casinos that is left, and that it's scheduled to be demolished sometime next year.

Hmm. There really isn't any reason for me to want to visit Las Vegas anymore. All the gangsters are gone, and they've torn down all the old hotels, and everything is stupidly expensive now instead of stupidly cheap. I don't need to see Disneyland with gambling.
