I understand the silly habitat sign gets put up most years. This year, it helped to cause a bit of trouble.

A group I was with used the hot tub as people going by took pictures of the sign. Sydney, who was with us, got up for something and noticed someone snapping a photo just while she was standing there in swimwear. Annoyed, she went around through the hAll and spoke to the guy. She said she'd motioned for him not to take pictures of her through the glass.

The picture-taker said something to imply that he wasn't going to take her seriously. (Said she was making too big a thing over it, or something.) Then he reportedly took another shot of her standing there in the hotel.

Sydney went to complain to con ops and hotel security. A security staff member came to get our statements in the hot tub. I don't know if justice ever quite caught up with whoever took the photos. There was a side effect, though, in that some poor staffer got taken and grilled for a while because he had a similar badge name.
