Further Confusion Questions

I have a room on the Party floor for FurCon.

1. Who else is going to be at FC?
2. What kind of a party/parties should I throw? I was considering PsyTrance, and maybe Goth/Industrial. But those don't really fit in with the convention theme.
3. Does anyone have any DJ equipment that I could borrow for a party?

Screw the convention theme, yay Psytrance. ;o)

Of course, Dead Can Dance and stuffs like that would more fit the theme, and that could be nice too, though I dunno if it's good party music.

Dead Can Dance

Well, I have Dead Can Dance's entire discography (and some concert recording), so that wouldn't be a problem. Some of it is 600 year old dance music; I've never danced to any of their stuff before. I don't think flashy lights would fit with that theme, much, either. Should probably decorate the room in some related-style.

The other thing I was considering was a different type of party each night. (Fri., Sat., Sun.) gives us three parties to work with.

Goth/industrial not fit the theme? How about guys like Cruxshadows and Covenant? ;> And, like Indi says, there's always Dead Can Dance, et al.

I have a turntables and a very basic mixer, as long as you or someone I know well will be there to watch them. I also may be available to spin, if you like.

Ok, good, that is exactly the sort of equipment that I need. Except, that I don't have any vinyl. So, I only need CD decks for playback, and possibly line-in from a computer.

Also, I'm on staff. So, I may be working in the evenings, and hence, not in the room. I may also be DJ'ing one of the official dances in the ballroom. But, I haven't heard back from Croc yet.

Since I won't be in the room 100% of the time, I will need more DJs to spin.

I'm thinking of making a Saturday-only appearance (wonders, there's even a workshop that night that looks interesting to me) since it seems at least a few people I know are going to be going. I figure there's no chance I'm going to be able to park at the Doubletree though. Hm.
