Let's see…
Plane Tickets… check
Purple Hair… check
US Passport… in progress…

What do I want for Christmass… my passport. (My new diver's license would be good too, it's only been five months since I renewed it. (My previous one took almost three years, which is why it suddenly exipred after only two.) Civil servants seem to love messing with transsexuals, probably because we're in a lower social class than they are?)

Assuming that I can gain entry into the country, here's where I'll be: (all times local)
Dec 2517:22San Jose, CA (SJC)
Dec 2519:29-20:45Seattle, WA (SEA)
Dec 2614:15-19:20London, UK (LHR)
Dec 2622:10Berlin, Germany (TXL)

Dec 3110:40Berlin, Germany (TXL)
Dec 3111:35-13:00London, UK (LHR)
Dec 3116:40-22:32Phoenix, AZ (PHX)
Dec 3123:22San Jose, CA (SJC)

So, I have five hours to kill in London Heathrow, but I probably can't leave the airport. And about six hours to kill in Phoenix. So, if anyone in London, or Phoenix has an urge to hang out with me in person, that's where I'll be.

I should be on the ground in California, for New Years — which gives me about 40 minutes to get anywhere to celebrate. (But too early to see any fireworks from the air.) The plane tickets were only about US$230, so I don't really mind so much. (Yes, there was magick involved in getting them.)

Now, I still need to figure out where I will be sleeping, while in Berlin. Hopefully, one of my dear friends (that's you) will have some crash space available.

Other plans for this week: Work–work–work, go to rave in Santa Cruz on Friday (Dec 22), then down to San Luis Obispo for the weekend, to hang out with [livejournal.com profile] trema_slo et al. Christmas morning down there, and then drive up to SJC by afternoon.

Correction: The plane tickets were about US$320, I accidentally transposed the first two digits. I don't know why I do that all the time. @.@

Holy crap. You did MUCH better than I did for tickets. What did you use to book? $1400 was the best I could find that was actually available, after hours and hours of looking.

I look forward to seeing you in Berlin! (I'm already sharing someone else's room, so can't offer crash space, but hopefully we can hang.)

I don't quite know what I'm doing on the 26th, but it's really not that hard for me to get into Heathrow at all. This is, of course, assuming that the security barrier can be penetrated by either one of us - I'm pretty sure that you'll be in purgatory for those five hours, which is unfortunate.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to declne turning up - boxing day trains just don't exist, and I'm quite happy in my estimate that getting out of security at Heathrow will just get you frowned at in a confused way. Have a good trip, though!

Your flight itinerary price is completely amazing. Just magicalj as you say.
About the layover times, I didn't mind rechecking through security when I had that much time, but I was in a smaller airport.
I would like to have your favorite foods available, not just someting to eat. If you let me know a few++ will try to make it so. ( :
