New HatI got a new hat for my birthday last month. lj user=dv_girl bought it for me. For those of you who have never met me before, that is my foxy self modeling the hat. I think that I've reached the point where I'm not so self-conscious about looking like a guy, but now I'm self-conscious about the scars on my face. Photos of me never quite seem to match up with what I think I look like. I've often wondered if flipping photos to be mirror images would help.D300, photo, July 2008, Mountain View, CA, USA, hat, JuliaJulia WolfJulia Wolfimage/jpeg2008
I got a new hat for my birthday last month. dv_girl bought it for me. For those of you who have never met me before, that is indeed my foxy self modeling the hat.
I think that I've reached the point where I'm not so self-conscious about looking like a guy, but now I'm self-conscious about the scars on my face. Photos of me never quite seem to match up with what I think I look like. I've often wondered if flipping photos to be mirror images would help — except what I see in the mirror doesn't really match up either.
It's great to see you shine like that! The gleam of mischief in your eye. Lots of confidence in your demeanor. I'm glad to hear it's finally in your head too. I've honestly never thought you looked like a guy. Maybe two or three times I've seen a flash or two from different angle... (and I've seen that or more on cisgendered women plenty of times - and it's hot) but like 99.something percent of the time ... I see a female person. In fact, you are more feminine looking than a lot of cisgendered female people I see. There is something very captivatingly demure in your cheeks and the pose of your mouth. There's a whole metric ton of pretty in the tip of your finely sculptured nose. And the secrets and imagination and wonder in your eyes...
My eyes have lingered enraptured at the long fine bones of your fingers. (the bookstore) My hands? Unless I have nails they look like the hands of a sixth grader of indeterminate gender. You have delightful collarbones.
Mmmm nevermind that juicy plump bottom you've got... ;-) Nope. That's not a guy's rear end and you can believe me because I like big butts and I cannot lie ;-D
You're gorgeous. Your beauty is unique - and what plain girl wouldn't kill for that... 'tis good to see your wings get stronger on this issue. It's lovely to see you in front of the camera. Your friend is right you bring beauty to both sides.
As to your skin... you can find a good - and I emphasize good - aesthetician or dermatologist to help smooth some of that out. But as your friend says... just about everyone and certainly plenty of women have something they would change about their physicality. *glances down at my own thighs* In fact, too many women disparage their physical appearances... and take harsh steps to modify them in accordance with ludicrous standards that very rarely exist outside of the photoshop studio and if they do... it's for like 5 minutes while they're 17. Maybe that's something you can teach other women as you grow into your womanhood... Love your body! Love yourself!
Magickal Pretty Grrlz!
