New HatI got a new hat for my birthday last month. lj user=dv_girl bought it for me. For those of you who have never met me before, that is my foxy self modeling the hat. I think that I've reached the point where I'm not so self-conscious about looking like a guy, but now I'm self-conscious about the scars on my face. Photos of me never quite seem to match up with what I think I look like. I've often wondered if flipping photos to be mirror images would help.D300, photo, July 2008, Mountain View, CA, USA, hat, JuliaJulia WolfJulia Wolfimage/jpeg2008

Photos of me never quite seem to match up with what I think I look like. I've often wondered if flipping photos to be mirror images would help — except what I see in the mirror doesn't really match up either.
Hats are fun! Plus, sometimes they're good for keeping one's head in. But I like the jewelry comment. At present, I go for simply a feather (it's a really nice black felt coachman's hat, not the one pictured in the icon, so it's more inclined toward a feather on the left – or, in my case, on the right) but I always swap the feather out to match my clothing. I'll admit, I sometimes consider other forms of decoration, but I'm not sure what would work.
