Baycon 2008Here's something more recent for a change. There is also a good example of composition in here. I was a little bit too far away when I saw the light-saber guy, and I couldn't get any closer at the time, so I just shot it from where I was, and I've cropped the photo down in two different ways, so you can see the difference that composition makes. (This is also one of the advantages of having a 12Mpixel camera.)D300, photo, May 2008, Baycon, Sci-FI, convention, Santa Clara, CaliforniaJulia WolfJulia Wolfimage/jpeg2008

Oops, wrong filenames. The weak spot in my script is doing the file renaming, since it doesn't actually look at the photos directly, it just goes by filename, and I can't get Lightroom to use the output resolution in a name, just the original RAW resolution, which is marginally useful. So I have a mapping from big-size to small-size names, but it doesn't always work right for long complicated technical reasons I won't go into.
Anyway, 1024x680 is in fact the real resolution, but I just renamed the files to 1024x681 since I'm too lazy to go back and hand edit the post to show the right name/resolution.
i finally remembered and had time to look up the pictures from baycon 2008 lol only took me a year but i was looking at my own pictures of my face paint and said to myself "didn't someone else take pictures and put it on their site?" and voila! ^_^ These are amazing. You're really talented. I just recently took a photography class heh anyways peace out and thanks for putting my picture up.
