I'm writing this from my new phone, since my last phone broke — I'll explain later. It enables me to write LJ posts while I wait in the hospital — I'll explain later. It seems like everything has been breaking lately. My laptop's "journaled" filesystem ate itself last week, and I haven't had time to reassemble my desktop server. So this phone is my only form of net access.

UPDATE:
My phone crashed just after I wrote that, so I'm reposting it again now. The doctor actually treated me ZOMG! Biopsy done, and on antibiotics now.

I'll write the full story up later, to summarize: Some time ago, I got bit by a poisonous spider, without realizing it. Since then, I've been really really sick, but I couldn't get anyone to believe me. Everyone kept arguing with me that it was just stress, and that I was bringing this all on myself, etc. So, for the last several days my leg has been swollen and painful, and I wasn't paying much attention to it [busy with work, etc.] until earlier today, when I noticed that my skin had turned black.

So… once my flesh was rotting off of my body, people started to believe that it was more than just stress.

I checked my mail [after spending an hour sorting through 1346 spam messages], and I can't find the info. Anyway, I am interested, and mobile. My ankle is just a bit swollen and itchy now. The bite was a week, possibly more, ago. And I don't even know if it was a spider at all.
