You're brave to keep posting stuff like this publicly, because if some guild/union of professional photographers ever found out you were making pictures like this without getting paid they'd probably break all your camera equipment.
Lately I've been using the Nikon D700, with the 50mm AF f/1.4 lens… which I use for everything. [BEST LENS EVAR!]
You can do this sort of stuff with almost any camera if you know what you're doing. In these photos here, I am taking advantage of the very wide dynamic range of the D700 (and the D300 has it too). So that when I take a photo of someone back-lit by the sun, they would normally turn out as a silhouette. And they did in all of these photos, but I have 14-bits of dynamic range per color channel on the D700, so I just cranked up the brightness on all the dark areas of the photo. There's enough detail recorded in the shadows, to make a normal looking photo out of just that small part of the brightness range.
That sounds so awesome. If you dont mind me asking how much was your gear? Im in the market for a new cam my Canon point and shoot has gone to the missing item graveyard in the sky and I just got a pay increase so I was thinking of getting something that will take quality pictures.
