DEFCON 16 Caravan

Is anyone organizing a bay-area caravan to DEFCON this year? (I didn't find anything here: https://forum.defcon.org/index.php)

If not, does anyone want to car pool with me on like, Thursday-ish?

I'm kinda, meh on attending DEFCON this year, but I haven't missed once since DEFCON 3.

http://www.hackbus.net/ is how I'm going; there is still space. I will be going to get on at the origin at 8pm tomorrow, from near SF via 280, 92, 880, 238, 580 and 680, and have nobody else going with me in my car, and wouldn't mind providing a ride. AIM is in my userinfo if you're interested.

… um, maybe. I don't have an explosives or firearms license or anything… But then again, being the TSA, this could be a box of toenail clippers and masking tape.

I live up in Mountain View, but I'll mostly be at work in San Jose/Milpitas before 6PM.

I have time off from work to go to Defcon now, so I'm going.

GRR phone keeps crashing. I'm in Mountain View near 85 and 101. I wasn't planning on leaving tonight, so I'm not packed yet.

So that's a yes then? I just called and confirmed that there is available space, the fare and scheduling is on the hackbus site. Looking at Google Maps, I'd need to picking you up at 6:30p, with me leaving my house at 5:30. You can private message me on LJ, or use AIM to send me contact info.

Yeah, I understand. I could delay until 7:00 but I think that still is unlikely to give you enough time.

You could also ride with me in my car instead of the bus. I have a hybrid, so I can make it to Vegas on about 15 gal of gas. (so like $60 for two people)

I appreciate the offer, but I've got other reasons for taking the bus, I'll be on hacker jeopardy with some of the guys on the bus, for one. If you want to hang out at con, call me at (360) 717-2735 and be patient while the call is connected.
