So, right now I'm missing The Last Hope although there's still enough time for me to jump on a plane and make it. PET is coming up in a few days, and I want to spend time with [livejournal.com profile] enochsmiles, but I could buy a MacBook or Nikon D300 for what plane tickets are now. And time-wise, I'm trying to keep my head above water at work. And I also noticed that if I can stop spending money for three months, I'll have enough saved up for surgery (yes, that operation).

In the meantime, I'm going up to [livejournal.com profile] veedub's tonight, and then to the Infected Mushroom concert at 1015 Folsom [in San Francisco].

Assuming that I don't fly out to Belgium at the last minute, I'm thinking of driving up to this: http://www.thegreenwolf.com/kingather08.html next weekend, for reasons I'll explain later.

Ooooh. Hmm. On the venue for Infected Mushroom, happen to know if they allow you to go in/out of the club? I'm on call this weekend BUT it's a very short drive from there to my SF office.

OTOH, I really should take a break. I've been doing stuff every single weekend for months now.

Well. That settles it. I should pass then because, knowing my luck, five minutes after I got there, my pager would go off and I'd have to leave. Heh. This is half Foo and half relief.

I imagine that with the way they use drums and stuff that Infected Mushroom is WAY more intense in person. Have fun and fill me in later!

What etiquette applies?

If you go for that surgery, do I say congratulations? Does hallmark make a card for it?

If a card is the appropriate way of showing support, I suppose I could even make one myself if it came to that.

Honestly, given what you do and what you know, right now you should be making more money than God.

Well... some folks are card folks and some aren't. Hard to sneeze at well meant, heartfelt support, imo. That's just me though. I'm a bit of a lovemuffin.

Actually no one really makes much in the way of that. Curious. Cafepress has it lumped with LGB as if trans folks and their homies have nothing better to do than sort through thousands of results and nothing else is more diverse than pride cards. Closest I saw as a lovely vintage pin-up woman on a get well card you can input text on yourself on a pro-trans site.

Seems like everyone else has their big life landmarks commemorated with a card....

It's a shame you couldn't make it; would have liked to see you.

That operation? Well, I'll admit I'm surprised - I'd just assumed you weren't planning on having it done. 100% behind you on doing it if that's your choice, of course.

Yay!

By the bye, is there a good time I can call you this weekend?
