I must make it to Burning Man one of these years. I remember hearing about the smaller events via word-of-mouth when I lived in the Bay Area 1990-1994 (via the rave and hack/phreak scenes), but it has become so much more since then. Wow! It would be a good "appetizer"/prep for Maha Kumbh Mela in India in 2013.
