Time Management
Dear LiveJournal-peeps:
Where do you find the time to read/write to LiveJournal? I barely have time to eat, sleep, and bathe, let alone do LiveJournal thingies. (Like, I can read my friend's journal once every week or two.)

So, there are many crappy parts about my life that I wish would be better, but then I'd have less time to do LJ (and other online stuff). Alas.

Didn't used to have time, but that was when I was trying to keep up with several fora. The whole being on the naughty step for 2 months at work put paid to that. It only takes me 15 minutes to check my email and LJ first thing in the morning.

I don't play video games, computer games, WoW or 2nd life.
I work at home so it is one of the ways I connect to my friends, near and far.
Also, it is something I do for myself, to make a record of my experieces. Sometimes I take the time to look back, either seeking out a previous entry, peeking in at where I was a year ago (or at some past time) or wishing to recall a certain memory in more detail.
So for these reasons, I make the time to read and/or post.

try it some time - you'll be amazed at how much time you have to do other stuff when you're not waiting for commercials to end, waiting for your show to come on... :-)

As for me personally, I post at lunch, before work, on breaks, and after work. I post on LJ so I can avoid watching Law and Order (the TV is always on at my place). Also, I am a compulsive talker.

I work a crappy retail job a few days out of the week...therefore I have ALOT of time on my hands, but usually aren't motivated to do ANYTHING.

And sometimes I get in this loop of obsessively refreshing it, along with a couple news sites.
I don't have a full-time job, either.

You work too much, honey. Plus you can add mad con-hopping to your list up there... and just being a general wildchild....
:-)
People make time based on a weighted system of priorities in their lives... It's always good to check in on this system and evaluate and re-evaluate what you are getting out of it and what you want out of it. What is it bringing to your life, your sense of peace, what you learn and how you get inspiration for what's important.
I miss your neat personhood. It's always a joy to see you pop up somewhere on the grid.
Hugs & Purrs,
Adj.

I just wanted to bop by and thank you again for donating me the Little 64meg Thumb Drive That Could. It's rattled around in my pocket without the cap for months, and then today, to my aghast... aghastity? aghastness?... one of the administrative staff at school decided that the non-removable *housing* was the cap and managed to pull it off the back and wedge it onto the front before returning the thing to me. (I'd left it in the office.) I had to get it off with my teeth.
And yet it's still working!
They don't make 'em like they used to, apparently. :-)

Which is why you will never see me reading a post with video or a youtube link, or posting one myself. Moving pictures and sound, not so discrete.

Write: Whenever I have something to write, which is usually every couple of months.
