YaoiCon 2006: Sunday Afternoon

I'm trying a slightly different presentation of these photos. Every photo is now a hyperlink, that goes to a 2600x3884 version; So you can count people's eyelashes. (If I have the mad camera gear, I might as well show it off.)
It occurs to me, upon reviewing these, that I should really pose my models better. I prefer not to have them posing at all, but then they discover that I'm taking their picture, they'll freeze into some stiff unnatural looking pose. That, and I should really position them in the scene for better composition. Also, I need a sun-glare-thingy for this lens.
I haven't had time to correct the white balance or anything on these, so these are basically as-shot. (And I really shouldn't be posting this and running out the door before I've even seen the results, because every time I do that I screw something up...)

There are *dozens* of them at the start that are bad links. No pic, and the links give a 404 when clicked. :-(

Yeah, most of them come up as broken images for me.

...To get people not to pose, you hafta take pictures faster than they can notice.

Ok, NOW everything is working. My laptop fell asleep after I left - while still uploading the rest of the photos. I couldn't wake it back up from work, and the only copies of the JPEGs was on my laptop (I did have copies of the raws with me, but driving home would take less time than reprocessing them.)

Oh how I knoiw that feeling. I run a mailing list for a local SCA branch. And back when it was runnimng on one of my home boxes taking trips or going to cons meant a lot of finger crossing. Because if the box it was on went down, or certain other things went wrong, it was down until I was back home.

So glad it's running on the server hosting my domain now. If anything goes wrong, I have the home & cell phone numbers of the guy running the hosting system. :-)

Eeee, I see Roxas. xD I really dig the one of me standing in the breeze. I didn't know you successfully caught a full body shot. Thanks so much for these. They look brilliant!

I am not opposed. (In fact, I explicitly license these works so that anyone can do as they please with these images — provided that they aren't using them for commercial purposes. I just have that clause currently to keep newspapers/magazines/mass media stuff from using them without asking — I don't have any releases from anyone I've photographed so far. And also, because I've been considering selling some nature photos.)
