Oh! LJ Still Exists...

... And so do I.

The UI is so weird now. I don't understand how to use LiveJournal anymore... I'm thinking of getting a Dreamwith account.

Dreamwidth is where most LJ refugees ended up; it's basically LJ as it was before they sold out, plus some good improvements like posting in markdown and separate reading and access lists.

And you can crosspost automatically, for those misguided people who want to stick with LJ.

Many people (self included) have the same username there as here, and one can usually find the others by chasing links.

Yeah, dreamwidth is where most people who still use traditional-style journaling (and don't use wordpress or blogspot) seem to be doing it. You can revert to the traditional S2 layout stuff, but LJ does their best to hide it; it's probably easier all around to just move to DW.

Although, one of the *other* problems is figuring out wtf the people you follow are and how you knew them or why you followed them in the first place.

It's a bit like diving into an ocean of nostalgia, isn't it?

If you will be (cross-)posting everything from DW now, I will read you only over there and remove you from my actually-reading filter here.
