Who What Where When Guide

I'm presenting research at ISOI4 and possibly at ETech. The CFP for Black Hat Europe closed early because they got too many submissions, but my employer is probably going to send me anyway. Unfortunately CanSecWest is at the same time. I already have an invite from FX for ph-neutral (it's on an island this year). I have three days to get something in for DIMVA, but I really don't have enough research done for a full paper.

CodeCon is not happening any time soon this year, I don't know if REcon is happening this year or not, and ditto with Security Opus.

This list is by no means exhaustive. If there is some place you expect me to be that is not on here, it's just because I have decided to go to bed rather than write any more.

I like the 90% chance on in NL and 80% in BC at the same time...

Do you do anything else except going to conventions :-)?

::look::

what is it that you do?

i know we've only met once or twice in passing, so forgive me if it's something that would have been revealed had we spoken in more depth with each other.

If it's what I think it is, it's people who make movies using video game demos.

Neat!

I'd forgotten what a con-hopper you are. :D

Congrats on the presentations!

I can see why you go to so many cons. They're fun. I went to a filk con last month. I'm going to Furry Weekend Atlanta and Tribalcon this month (tribalcon being a tribal bellydance thing in the ATL)

PS. If you still want to have that adventure in Amsterdam.... ;-)

Let me know. XO

See you at DEFCON.
Hopefully in three dimensions this time.

Yay, P-Con attendance :)

[identity profile] thewerewolf.livejournal.com 2008-02-07 05:28 pm (UTC)(link)
What *exactly* do you do for a living? I can't get my employer to send me to a branch office to talk to people who know more than I do about software I'm supposed to be taking over... let alone send me to a procon.

Im so jealous you are going to Walking!! My philly boys are regulars at the Farm, and I would so love to see them. You'll have to pass along hugs and the like if you see them there!

Awww, no All Fur Fun? Well, it is out in the middle of nowhere Spokane, but I help run it... *grin* I also help with RainFurrest, but rather less so. Still, maybe I'll see you at that, eh?

At least I'll see you at AC this year if not Otakon

CRYPTO counts as Haxor? Awesome!

Thank you for posting the Foxgrrl Forecast. I look forward to seeing you at DefCon and will keep an eye out to see if the HOPE forecast improves.

cool. I'm anticipating:
Shmoocon, ISOI4, CansSecWest, ToorCon Seattle, PH-Neutral, maybe DefCon, I'll be really interested to hear what you think of DIVMA, I have wanted to attend but can't get approval for the travel.

[identity profile] teh-munchkin.livejournal.com 2008-02-08 11:12 pm (UTC)(link)
I plan to go to DEFCON this year. Might I expect to find you at the QueerCON party there?

[identity profile] wolphin.livejournal.com 2008-02-09 11:21 am (UTC)(link)
You definitely get to go to the interesting things. There are probably about half a dozen things there which professionally I'd like to do, another dozen which I'd like to do for my own interests and this year if I'm lucky, my work may let me attend someone elses product spiel.
