More stuff from my back yard (and stuff). From looking at these photos, you wouldn't imagine that my yard is really a big pile of wood chips, and desolate patch of dirt.
Of course they studied the more common designs of the fez, the classical and the centurion.... Perhaps you are pioneering the technology with your geisha on E helmetry.....
Kinda yes, but I just sheer don't have the time. Even with the mad-skillz I have, it takes a long time. The only time I had to do these photos for example, was between midnight and 3am this morning. I'm on my lunch break right now, about to run back to work until late this evening. (Then there's a seminar I was thinking of going to, but I'm going to blow it off just to have some time to take care of the rest of my life...)
Looking for, finding, reproducing, and BEING beautiful as usual, Julia! I *really* love the wet-haired one :D Also - I've been thinking of ways to maximize contrast between crystal and liquid ice for the purposes of photographing the formation of ice crystals (just 'cause they're hella cool, of course :) Any suggestions?
I'm pretty sure that the most interesting crystalline formations would occur on the surface, projecting away from the sidewall, but I'm having trouble coming up with a way of getting reflected light off the solid, but not the liquid. Background, light diffuser, Scanning Electron Microscope? Thought it might be a fun project worth digging out my old film camera for, now that the weather's turning again...
