well, I'm convinced we all have an immortal something, but I stall out when I hit questions like "well, what is it?" and "so what is a

I've long felt that my experience of existence feels to me like it can't be purely mechanical (including organic biological stuff as "mechanical"). There's something else, even if I don't really know what it is.
